Job Summary:
The Operations Staff role is responsible for preparing and maintaining the set-ups and breakdowns for all events for Golden Grape Entertainment and all its affiliates. Will move furniture and equipment throughout the facility for meetings, concerts, sporting, and other various events.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup, in-event, and tear down of events.
- These events include, but are not limited to, major events (sports, concerts, conventions, etc.) and special events.
- Set and strike tables, chairs, podiums, stages, pipe and drape, décor, and banners, as necessary.
- Assist event and production staff with AV assets, in-house feeds, lighting, and audio systems.
- Perform off-season maintenance and preventive maintenance projects.
- Loading and unloading equipment for facility needs.
- Operating larger vehicles such as vans and box trucks.
- Maintain stock of event supplies.
- Work with team members and administrative staff to arrange facility needs.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must possess excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including availability as needed, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Good Verbal and Written Skills.
- Must be Outgoing, Personable and Professional.
- Enjoy Working in a Team Environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to typical methods and techniques for set-ups and maintaining the facility equipment, and proper use and care of equipment.
- Demonstrate ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive, and expedient manner and be able to adhere to strict deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Highschool Diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in manual labor position of public assembly facilities.
- Any experience and/or training in the public assembly facility management industry is a plus.
Certification(s):
- None.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to carry/move/handle 50 pounds.
- Move in a fast-paced environment that will occasionally be loud.
- The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (minimum of 4 hours).
